Accommodations:
The Barn at High Falls comfortably sleeps 14. The primary bedroom features a king sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. The two guest bedrooms in the loft feature queen sized beds and share a central bathroom with a shower.
There are two lower level guest rooms. One features a king sized bed and the second is the ‘bunk room,’ featuring a queen sized bed with 2 twin beds overhead – perfect for a family! These rooms share a central bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Lastly, the main floor library features a queen-sized pull-out sofa and can double as a sixth bedroom.
The Back Yard:
In High Falls, outdoor living is as important as indoor living and the backyard at The Barn features 2.1 Acres of lush landscape encompassing the Roundout Creek and the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. The Barn’s property is adjacent to the O&W (Ontario and Western) Rail Trail – a hiking and biking trail that connects Manhattan with Maine. Bicycles are provided by The Barn for your enjoyment, as are helmets. Remember: Please ride safely!
Our Backyard features ‘The Patio’, furnished with tables, seating, and a propane BBQ that will accommodate as many burgers, brats, and barbecued ribs as you can eat! There is also a super sized Jacuzzi, a Fire Pit, and a Kids Play Area that will make you wish you were 10-years old again. Everything is connected by lighted paths, including the bridge over the creek. An oasis in the Summer and a wonderland in the Winter.
The Kitchen:
The Kitchen is a magnificent cooking and gathering space featuring a premium appliance package that will impress the most skilled gourmet chef. To honor the heritage of the Barn, the kitchen sink is crafted out of a super-sized stone trough with 3 separate compartments and period-correct faucets. The central island is created from an 1800 Apothecary Table which has been reconstructed and topped with concrete. The kitchen is lined with cabinets that have been distressed to reflect the age and heritage of the Barn.
The overall open concept faces both the Dining and Family Rooms. Flooded with natural light from windows that look out onto the back of the property, with unimpeded views of the Roundout Creek and surrounding mountains.
